The Flight Soundwave Acoustic Ukulele Pickup System uses phenomenal new technology to place control of the preamp and various effects at the fingertips of the player, whether the ukulele is plugged into an amplifier or not.
Performers are often at the mercy of a sound engineer when gigging. The Flight Soundwave Pickup System not only adds a new dimension to acoustic playing, but also gives the gigging musician complete control without the need of additional equipment other than a lead cable and the ukulele in their hand. Soundwave is more than a pickup system, it's a piezo pickup system with a built-in effects processor.
The Soundwave Pickup System has been such a smash hit that Flight has made the complete system available as an item in our catalog. You can now purchase the system by itself and install it in any ukulele of your choice!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The Flight Soundwave Pickup System represents a breakthrough in acoustic engineering and sound design, allowing you to get stunning acoustic sound and effects on your ukulele with or without being plugged into an amplifier or sound system.
How does it work? An undersaddle piezo picks up the sound and sends it to the digital signal processor, where the sound is processed and then sent to an actuator, which is located on the back of the ukulele. The actuator sends vibrations across the instrument, in effect turning the body of the instrument into a speaker cone. All of the controls for the Flight Soundwave Pickup System are on the side of the ukulele, right at your fingerips for fine tuning.
The Flight Soundwave Pickup System is powered by a polymer lithium battery which allows for ten hours of use. A USB to ¼” charging cable is included with the Flight Soundwave Pickup System. To recharge the battery, simply plug the ¼” jack into the ukulele and the USB connector into a standard USB charging port.
FUNCTIONS:
[VOLUME]
The VOLUME dial controls the overall volume output of the preamp system. Set the volume as high as you wish, but try to avoid feedback or distortion.
[REVERB]
The REVERB dial controls the intensity of the reverb effect, which changes the acoustic “space” in which you perform. Turn the reverb knob clockwise to increase the amount of reverb.
[CHORUS]
The CHORUS dial controls the intensity of the chorus effect, which adds a swirling property to the sound. Turn the chorus knob clockwise to increase the amount of chorus.
[DELAY]
The DELAY dial controls the amount of the delay effect, which adds a repeated, delaying echo to the sound. Turn the delay knob clockwise to increase the delay. Adjust the delay to match your tempo or to acheive the delay effect you desire.
[POWER/INDICATOR]
The POWER/INDICATOR button controls power to the Flight Soundwave Pickup System, and also features an indicator light. Press and hold the button to turn the system on. When the system is on, a white light will show on the indicator. Press and hold the button again to turn the system off. When the system is off, no light will show on the indicator (unless the Flight Soundwave System is charging). When turned on, the indicator light will turn yellow when the battery is getting low, and the indicator light will turn red when the system needs to be charged. To recharge the battery, use the included charging cable, plugging the ¼” jack into the ukulele and the USB connector into a standard USB charging port. While charging, the indicator light will turn yellow, and when the system is fully charged, the indicator light will turn green.

We strive to earn 100% satisfaction with every customer. Because of this we allow returns for up to 30 days with few conditions. If you are not satisfied, contact us for a Return Authorization or use eBay’s Return System. Then simply return your item in original condition. You pay return shipping. Shipping fees are not refundable. If your item featured Free Shipping, we will deduct our shipping costs when refunding your purchase price. If you have questions, please contact us. Items returned in less than original condition may be refused or charged a restocking or damage fee, up at 15%. There is no fee for returns of defective products, and we pay shipping for the return of defective items. A few items are not eligible for return.
State Sales Tax:
Virginia residents must pay 5.3% sales tax on the total order (including shipping/handling). Others may be required to pay sales tax directly to your state or local treasurer. Check your local laws.

We stock what we sell. This means most items paid for by Noon Eastern-Time (Monday - Friday, excluding U.S. Federal Holidays) are shipped the same day. In the event that an inventory mistake occurs, we'll contact you to find a solution.
USA Shipping:
Most items are shipped via the U.S. Postal Service. We may choose other shippers at times. Priority Mail delivery averages 2-3 business days. First Class delivery takes averages 2-5 business days. We always use delivery confirmation services and upload tracking information when your order ships.
Combined Shipping Discounts - We combine weights of orders to reduce your cost. Discounts apply only when you pay for all of your items at the same time. Does not apply for FREE Shipping listings.
International Shipping:
Due to lost packages and other shipping problems, we restrict the list of countries we ship to. When we do ship to International destinations we offer USPS First Class shipping as a lower-cost option, but we strongly recommend the use of package tracking services. USPS First Class International does not provide reliable tracking to the destination. If you choose USPS First Class International shipping, delivery can take several weeks and is not guaranteed by us.
We do not collect or track taxes, tariffs, duties, or other import fees which may be assessed when your order arrives. You are responsible for all taxes, tariffs, duties, and import fees. Please consider these costs before placing your order. By law, we must report the purchase price on customs declarations forms. Please do not ask us to modify the price or state that your order is a gift.
