    Description

I finally got a small order of wood in its been like everything else.
    Scarce!
I HAVE RESPONDED TO WHAT MY COSTOMERS HAVE ASKED FOR!
I HAVE REDESIGNED THE CLEAN OUT OPENING IT NOW HAS HINDGES AND A HOOK.  LOOK.  YOU CAN STILL BUY THE OLD STYLE WITH THE 4 SCREWS IN THE ROOF JUST BUY ONE IN THE AUCTION OR EMAIL ME.
BIRDS LOVE MY HOUSES. I HAVE NEVER HAD A BIRD COMPLAIN YET.
I have not seen a sleek salt box style bird home like this on eBay yet.  At this price.  Look what's included. This is amazing!
1- great looking Salt box style Birdhouse.
2- Two 3/4" 2 hole conduit brackets. {In case you want to mount it on conduit}.
3- four of the right size screws for the bracket. {so they wont go through into the living area of the house.
4- 2 pieces all weather 2" screws to in case you want to mount through the back of the house into a post or tree.
    CONSTRUCTION:
    This Saltbox style Birdhouse
is well constructed and assembled here in the USA in the state Michigan with the help of my dedicated Shih Tzu. Every component is assembled together with all weather 1 1/2 or 1 5/8 inch trim head screws and is made from 5/8" thick red cedar and completed weights approximately 2 lbs.  There is a vent hole located in the top back and 4 drain holes in the floor.
This home is very solid and will not fall apart if something un for seen should happen {branch falls on it} the components can easily be unscrewed and replaced if needed and not broke apart because of being glued.
    Dimensions:
5 1/2" wide and from roof peak to bottom about 12" in height, depth about 5".
Bird entry hole is 1 1/8" located 6" from the bottom.
    Mounting the house:
Check out my gallery pictures for mounting examples. You can use a chain or a hook on the back and mount it to a fence or wall.
Remember if you back mount it do not cover vent hole or if you cover it drill another vent in the side.
    You can use a piece of electrical conduit pipe with 2 two hole conduit brackets and screws. I use sheet metal screws remember to spread the bracket out so it clamps the pipe better{see gallery picture}.  On this house I would suggest at least 6" attached to the house and at least 1 and a half feet in the ground and 5 to 6 feet off the groundfor a total of 7 or 8 feet of 3/4 " conduit pipe. FYI smash down pipe on bottom with a hammer so it pounds in the ground more easily see gallery picture.{Conduit pipe not included}
You can take the long side of the roof off and screw through the long side into a tree always pre-drill before installing screws. These are just suggestions hope they help.
    Placement Location examples:
Wren- approx. 5 to 10 feet high on a post or in a tree.
Nuthatch- 12 to 25 feet high.
Chickadee- 4 to 8 feet high.
FYI you never know what kind of bird might move into your new bird home.
I do not build these too far ahead of time so you may not get the one in the picture but it will be constructed with the same quality and have the same design.
Cleaning Out The House At The End Of The Season:
Remove The long Section of the roof it now has 3 or 4 Philips head screws, clean out old nest then slide long roof back up to short roof piece and re-screw use hand screw driver to reinstall screws for less chance of splitting / over tightening.
I will normally ship the next day with no issues but I have a 2 day handling time on this house in case something out of the ordinary happens.
Please check the gallery pictures before purchasing for more information that will be of help deciding to buy this product.
