I photographed this rare set of blockbuster posters back in the 1990s with the best equipment and with the best techniques for photographing posters. These is the sharpest and best quality captures you'll ever see of these original posters, which, by the way, are worth over 0,000.
I've posted a photo of the lobby card (8x10) transparency simply lying on a light table, so you can see what I'm talking about. It's just simply laying there on a light table and then shot with a regular old digital camera. Nevertheless, look how good it looks in this raw low-grade digital state. Imagine a proper scan made off of it with digital restoration to the card - WOW! The teaser 1-sheet was shot with a
4x5 camera
. I had that scanned already, and so I've posted an image made from that scan.
